Winter in the Dales

The first snow of the winter came on Wednesday!

Burtersett really was 'Above the Snowline'! This photo is of Shaws Lane between Burtersett village and Gayle.

It was a landscape transformed, albeit for a short time.

Exhibition update

There are new decals on the car to advertise Brian's solo exhibition 'Above the Snowline', currently running in Calvert's Restaurant at the Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes.

Brian checks on one of the larger paintings for sale. All can be viewed here.

The paintings adorn the walls of the restaurant. Great place to eat too, website is here!

The paintings will stay in place until January 2017. Unless sold, of course!

Meanwhile, Brian's gallery in Burtersett is open to visit Thursday to Sunday, 11.00 - 16.00, and Mondays too, until the end of November.

A warm welcome is promised to visitors.

Above the Snowline

The first major solo exhibition by Dales artist Brian Alderman will open on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, in the main restaurant of the Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes.

The exhibition features many new oils showing the dales under a thick blanket of snow and ice.
