Reception at Dundonald
Here is Brian with fellow artist Moira Metcalfe getting ready for the reception to open their exhibition 'Taking Wensleydale to Scotland' at the visitor centre of Dundonald Castle in Ayrshire.
Dundonald Castle itself sits on top of a hill with splendid views over the surrounding countryside. Read all about it here.
The visitor centre sits at the foot of the hill and was packed for the wine and cheese reception on Friday, September 28, organised by the Friends of Dundonald Castle.
John Clark, Hon Secretary of the Friends of Dundonald Castle, welcomed everyone.
...... utilising every inch of wall space throughout the cafe area of the visitor centre.

Return to Scotland
Two Wensleydale artists, Brian Alderman and Moira Metcalfe, will be exhibiting in Scotland later this month and through October.
The venue is Dundonald Castle Visitor Centre in Ayrshire, Saturday September 29 to Sunday October 28.

Sedbergh Show
Brian is exhibiting six paintings at Sedbergh and District Art Society Annual Exhibition this month.
This is in the Sedbergh School Library building in the centre of the town, and is open to the public from August 17 - 28 inclusive.

June Update
Here's the June update for the Burtersett Studio and Gallery! The floor has been laid (by Neil Scully in Karndean Auckland Oak), the walls painted, the spot lighting installed, and a start has been made in hanging some paintings.

Studio and gallery update
The new door on the right will lead via the wheelchair accessible path to the new studio and gallery.

Almost ready to begin painting the walls. Then the lighting has to go in, and the floor laid.

Work Underway on the Burtersett Studio and Gallery
It was originally a door, then a window, and now it's back to a door again, as work progresses in turning Brian's front room at Hillcrest into a small working studio and gallery, with its own entrance. See how the front of the house looked before, here.

Chosen Realities
Chosen Realities is an exhibition of recent paintings by Wensleydale artists Brian Alderman and Moira Metcalfe.
