Work Underway on the Burtersett Studio and Gallery

It was originally a door, then a window, and now it's back to a door again, as work progresses in turning Brian's front room at Hillcrest into a small working studio and gallery, with its own entrance. See how the front of the house looked before, here.

Chosen Realities

Chosen Realities is an exhibition of recent paintings by Wensleydale artists Brian Alderman and Moira Metcalfe.

The exhibition is at the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority offices, Yoredale, Bainbridge.

The exhibition is open to view 08.30 - 16.30, Monday to Friday, until the end of April.

In the Wensleydale Creamery

Brian Alderman is currently exhibiting paintings of the milking herds from local farms in the Dales in the restaurant of the Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes.

The painting above is 'Inquisitive Cows' (oil on canvas, 20" by 16", 2011). More from the exhibition can be seen here.

Autumn Colours

This is the poster we're using for our autumn art exhibition in the Burtersett village hall later this month. Coffee and free designer cup cakes to all who come along. Ann will be doing her usual teas and scones in aid of the Brooke Animal Charity.
